The Hunt for Dark Matter

Tim Linden tells us about the mysterious dark matter, which interacts with ordinary matter almost exclusively through gravity. He starts by explaining how astronomical data tell us that dark matter exists, and then moves to explain ideas from particle physics about what it might be made out of. He then discusses his  own fascinating research using gamma-rays from the galactic center to test various theories of dark matter.
