Andrew Long is a theoretical physicist working at the University of Chicago’s Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics. Before moving to Illinois, he received his doctorate at the University of Wisconsin (Madison) in 2012, and from 2012-2015 he worked at Arizona State University (Tempe). He’s always enjoyed puzzles, from crosswords to chess. As a theoretical physicist, he has had the pleasure and privilege of learning that the most beautiful puzzle is the universe itself! The cosmos is full of surprises, and it continually forces us to confront the unknown.
