Megan Bedell
Megan is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow working on her PhD in astronomy at the University of Chicago. She received her B.S. in physics and astronomy from Haverford College in 2008. Her research focuses on the discovery of new exoplanets and the characterization of planet-hosting stars. She’s racked up more than 1000 hours of observing time to date on telescopes in Chile, Hawaii, Arizona, and Nantucket Island. When she’s not traveling the world for science or sleeping off the jetlag, she enjoys reading mystery novels, cooking, and playing with the puppies at PAWS Chicago.
