Louis Abramson

Louis Abramson was born in New York, where he also earned a BA in physics from Columbia University. Since 2009, he has been a PhD student in astronomy at The University of Chicago. He uses large telescopes in Chile to study the lives of galaxies, focusing on characterizing the internal and external forces that affect how these objects grow and change over time. Outside of research, he is an avid runner, and – though he no longer brews it – drinker of beer.
